Quick Bit: As one of the most recognizable and powerful animals in the savanna, this lion is ready to bring some character into your space. 

Journal Entry: This lion began as a commission request and quickly turned into one of my favorite pieces of 2026. When I drew the original micron ink drawing, I had to immerse myself into the scene so that I could try to embody even one ounce of what this amazing animal embodies on a regular basis. It was important to me to capture him at peace but to also make him appear ready to pounce if needed. I put on an African music mix on Spotify to establish the mood and when a Lion King song came on, I was really having the best time drawing this guy.
